The problem with racism is not that it is isolated. It is pervasive and certainly not isolated. Go to any city, there is always a part of town that is called the ghetto. It is unmistakable. It is always marked by the appearance of poverty. And it is usually occupied by mostly blacks. These are the poorest blacks. These are the blacks who get the worst education. These are the blacks who have to live in substandard housing. These are the blacks who don't usually have access to nutritional food, due to the lack of supermarkets. These are blacks who are trapped into this squalor by institutional racism which has assigned them to this station in life. These are the blacks who want a better life and are constantly looking for a way out. But poverty in the black community is intentional. Low wage jobs keeps them from ever being able to afford to move. When you are poor you have the worse of everything. You can't even move if you found a better place. If the minimum wage was a living wage, then poverty could be eradicated. Is there anyone listening to that? No. They hear it but don't care.
